At Impacter, we are constantly evaluating our priorities to ensure we are delivering the best value to our users and the broader community of research managers. This is usually done in conversations with customers and improving existing services. A few examples are the development of ScienceBase for the ARMA-NL community, the addition of our LLM to Impacter and the matchmaking of draft funding opportunities with researchers in a given institution. Quite often, the interaction with the research manager community at events like EARMA helped us in setting priorities, which is why we sponsored EARMA for the last couple of years.
This year, we made a different decision meaning that, unfortunately, we will not be present at INORMS in Madrid, in May.
In 2024, we set a new record in terms of how many institutions we supported in matching their researchers with the draft work programmes of Horizon Europe. This year, with the draft work programmes for 2026 and 2027 being shared, and because we see a lot of potential to make the matching easier and better, a lot of preparation for the matching is needed. Our goal is to allow you to upload your own document with funding opportunities in order to receive a list of potential matches for every researcher in your institution, including a list of potential researchers to build a consortium with, based on their historical participation in Horizon Europe consortia.
So, this spring, we are investing in development instead of conferences. Hopefully, before summer, we will be able to give you a sneak preview about the renewed matchmaking.
We wish everyone a great INORMS in Madrid this year and we will see each other again, in person, at the next EARMA conference.
